VINYL RECORD DESIGNS

Growing up in a family where music was constantly playing, that same sentiment has traveled with me into my adulthood. Whether I am outdoors walking around the city, to being indoors while reading, resting, cooking, or working on my next art piece, I am almost always listening to music. And when someone asks me what kind of music I like listening to, I always say, “So long as I like the song, and it fits whatever I am feeling that day, I don’ t care what the genre or language it is in.”

As a challenge to myself, a way to stay creative, and allows me to discover new and exciting artists, I started a series where I create illustrations of record albums. I begin the process by asking those closest to me to recommend an album they love, from an artist/band that I have never head off before. Upon listening to the album, I create my interpretation of the album cover based on the images and emotions I felt. This is an ongoing series that I plan to continue for as long as I can.
