WE NEED MEDICINE: The Fratellis

Debuting in early 2005, The Fratellis is a brash, melodic, indie rock trio from Glasgow, Scotland. The band include members Jon Fratelli (vocalist/guitarist) , Mince Fratelli (drummer), and Barry Fratelli (bassist). Though many believe them to be related, the truth of the matter is neither are related to each other at all. There are numerous speculations as to where they got the name Fratelli (Italian for “brothers”) from, but the two most prominent theories are that they were first inspired by Barry’s mother’s surname (which actually is Fratelli) and further adopted the surname in homage to the criminal family from the movie “The Goonies.”

“We Need Medicine” is The Fratellis’ 3rd album and was released in the UK on October 7, 2013 and in the US the following day.
